As a Senior Software Development Manager you will be expected to establish a collaborative partnership with key business partners and directly managing Foodbuy IT Scrum Teams consisting of developers and quality analysts. In this role you will partner with Scrum Master and Product Owner to hold the team accountable to consistent Agile best practices. Candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and outstanding analytical and research skills, as well as a passion for leading and growing others. In addition to being a seasoned, well-trained professional, the successful candidate will be a strategic problem solver with the ability to inspire confidence from, and to collaborate closely with technology leaders and internal business partners.

Job Responsibilities

• Coach, mentor developers and quality analysts ensuring they are modeling the standard processes and producing high quality results

• Partner with the Scrum Master to remove organizational blockers

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Foodbuy Product and Compass IT Shared Services teams.

• Partner with Scrum Master to resolve and escalate impediments, manage risks, assure value delivery and drive program level continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with Product Owner and Scrum Master being responsible for overall application, project delivery as well as timely application support.

• Contributes to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.

• Collaborate with Peers and Architecture team to innovate, educate and empower the Scrum Teams

• Hire new team members to round out and build up overall team capacity and abilities

Job Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing direct reports or leading developers and/or quality analysts

• 12+ years of experience in IT full development life cycle.

• Agile practitioner mentality with an understanding of common Agile practices, service-oriented environments, and iterative development practices.

• Demonstrated track record of successful ability to manage large and sophisticated software implementations

• Flexibility to work with teams, individuals and executives and willingness to help with a wide variety of work products and people.

• Ability to easily build new relationships and proactively establish a variety of contacts across the organization.

• Proven track record to balance concurrent activities.

• Solid understanding and experience in software development in an Agile environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Software Engineer

• Previous experience working as a Scrum Master

• Previous experience working in a SAFe agile or Scrum At Scale environment

• Azure DevOps
