Amazon Senior On Road Logistics Manager, Delivery Service Partners Team in Clichy, France

Amazon's Senior On the Road (OTR) Capacity Managers play a critical role in ensuring our vast logistics network of Delivery Service Partners operates smoothly and efficiently to delight customers. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for developing and executing robust capacity plans for our Delivery Service Partners (DSP). By leveraging various data, and cross-functional collaboration, you will build scalable programmes to align DSP capacity with dynamic customer demand.

Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, you’ll continuously be scoping out new solutions. You’ll conduct your own research and analysis, always with an eye on the long-term vision of the business. The role will be based in France and includes frequent travel to all various locations within EU up to 10% of the time.

Key job responsibilities

  • Take a big-picture approach in your analysis of business operations across OTR, driving improvements across a range of teams and organisations

  • Work alongside senior leadership to establish and prioritise improvement programmes, seeing them through from start to finish

  • Enhance operational performance of OTR capacity plans in partnership with your stakeholders

  • Create innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges in your organisation

  • Build delivery station level OTR capacity plans, and act as the single source of truth for reporting on OTR demand

A day in the life

As a Senior OTR Capacity Managers, you’ll drive and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven change within DSP, leading improvement projects and programmes. You’ll use strategic thinking to define and implement an efficient project plan. Senior OTR Capacity Managers have significant responsibilities, and you’ll deal with complex challenges with creativity, innovation, and leadership. With a responsibility extending beyond process improvements, you could also contribute to improving other areas of the business, like diversity, equity, and inclusion.

About the team

The SEU Delivery Service Partner (DSP) team is responsible for managing and growing the network of providers that power Amazon's in-house last mile delivery service. Our partners work out of delivery stations across France, Italy, Spain and Belgium and are assigned delivery routes and packages.

The French & Spanish On The Road (OTR) Capacity Planning team is central to achieving the program objectives of DSP Last Mile Delivery. This team charts the strategy and plan to build OTR capacity across the delivery network on a short-term and midterm basis.

Basic Qualifications

  • A degree

  • Relevant experience communicating with and influencing a range of different stakeholders, including senior management

  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions

  • Relevant experience in managing large-scale programmes or projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience working in a supply chain, logistics, or operations environment

  • Experience in conceptualising and implementing operational or supply-chain management improvements

  • Relevant experience with data management tools, e.g. SQL

  • Prroficiency in written and verbal French
