Role Overview

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for landscape architecture and a desire to make a positive impact on the built environment? Join AECOM's 2024 Graduate Program as a Grauate Landscape Architect and embark on a rewarding journey to develop your skills and contribute to transformative projects. Gain hands-on experience in project delivery, design visualization, and sustainable landscape practices while working alongside industry experts. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and shape the future of our urban and natural landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and master techniques, software, and systems essential for project delivery.

  • Contribute to research tasks, ensuring outputs meet established standards.

  • Comprehend and graphically represent public realm design guidelines and sustainability requirements specific to operating regions.

  • Produce accurate graphical representations of sites, projects, and design/detail drawings to scale.

  • Assist senior staff in preparing qualitative and quantitative diagrams and drawings for benchmark studies.

  • Develop graphical representations of design narratives and landscape visions.

  • Prepare landscape design components for review, including Photoshop Illustrative Plans and Lumion views.

  • Contribute to report production and assist project managers with tasks such as project planning and presentation preparations.

  • Collaborate with senior staff to develop comprehensive CD/SD/DD document sets.

  • Coordinate site visits for benchmark studies and exemplar projects within the region.

  • Maintain the office's physical and digital library of landscape architecture resources.

  • Adhere to quality procedures and conduct self-checks on information and drawings prior to review.

  • Work towards obtaining professional membership with a recognized landscape institute ororganization.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture (with courses in Landscape) from an accredited University

  • Candidates must be recent graduates, having graduated within the last 24 months or no later than September 2024, to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.

  • Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.3 or 2:1 (or equivalent) and above.

  • If you hold a Master’s Degree, it should have started within 12 months of completing your Bachelor’s Degree to ensure continuous education and meet program requirements.

  • Candidates with more than 1 year of postgraduate work experience are not eligible for the program and are encouraged to apply for our professional-level roles instead.

Recruitment Timeline:

  • Applications open: May 13th, 2024

  • Applications close: May 31st, 2024

  • Review of CVs, phone screening, and technical interviews: June and July 2024

  • Mobilization & visa processing: August 2024

  • Start Date: September / October 2024

  • Program Orientation: November 2024 (This includes an induction and meet-and-greet for the entire graduate cohort from all our offices in the ME).
