Assistant Teacher Position

Who we're looking for

• Ability to work well with young children
• Ability to read and write simple notes for families and collages
• Good verbal skills
• Ensures a safe and nurturing learning environment to support childrens social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual development
• Interact with children, parents, and other staff in a friendly, positive, and courteous manner
• Maintain all operational requirements for a safe and healthy licensed childcare center, in a developmentally appropriate Christian program
• Maintain the classroom environment safe, clean, and healthy for the children
• Arrive at work as scheduled.
• Maintain indoor and outdoor environments that are safe, clean, and well organized *Follow the State of Alaska and center regulations

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current CDA Credential or willingness to acquire one within a year of hire
• One years experience working in an Early Childhood
• Three references demonstrating positive experience working with or caring for children
• Current Infant/Toddler CPR/First Aide or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
