We are looking for a talented Lvl III - Engineering Electronics Technician to join our team specializing in engineering for our components business segment in Fridley, MN

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Utilizes advanced skills, knowledge and experiences to perform analyses using Electronic Engineering tools and standard instruments and test equipment, while positively impacting the organization's performance.

  • Applies advanced skills and experiences while operating analytical instruments and equipment, performing physical analyses, acquiring and interpreting data, and documenting technical results in support of production and non-production engineering, quality, and manufacturing groups.

  • Effectively utilizes advanced skills and experiences to solve complex problems; compiles, analyzes, and reports performance or progress information to management.

  • Develops and documents laboratory methods.

  • Performs routine and complex maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repair of instruments and equipment.

  • Understands and applies appropriate company and department rules and guidelines to work.

  • Actively mentors and trains apprentices, trainees, and technicians; addresses training needs within the laboratory.

  • Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other functions.

  • Coordinates programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking; handles projects that require significant decisions to be made to work flow and priorities; provides effective technical and project leadership.

  • Participates in the maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions.

  • Participates in improvement projects; demonstrates adaptability and responsiveness to changing work needs and willingness to undertake new tasks.

  • Develops and gives technical presentations to engineers, customers and suppliers.

  • Participates in self- and team-audits and associated corrective actions.

  • Performs other duties as required.

  • Data Reporting - Prepares documentation in a manner which clearly organizes and presents testing methods, instrument settings, the data and analysis to allow the engineer and customer to understand the results and form accurate conclusions and recommendations.

  • Embedded Software Design and Construction - Constructs embedded software using industry best practices and robust software engineering principles; verifies software updates to ensure quality products.

  • Product Problem Solving - Solves product problems using a process that protects the customer; determines the assignable cause; implements robust, data-based solutions; and identifies the systemic root causes and recommended actions to prevent problem reoccurrence.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

A regionally applicable Certification (e.g. US Department of Labor) or two year Associates Degree from an accredited college program in a relevant field of study.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

The role requires in-depth analysis of Power Systems Controls units.

Must be able to read and understand schematics.

Requires ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits to component level.
