[Captain needed to manage and operate an eighty (80) foot LC8 Landing Craft in Kodiak, Alaska. [Responsibilities [Seeking a skilled and experienced Boat Captain with a 100-ton license to join our team ASAP. As a Boat Captain, you will be responsible for safely operating and managing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of an LC8 Landing Craft and assist with a second 80-foot landing craft. Oversee the safety of the crew, and customer cargo deliveries and pickups around Kodiak Island. *[KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES [Must be insurable no major boating accidents/claims. Safely operate and navigate boat in various water conditions. Ensure the safety of crew members at all times and cargo. Follow all maritime laws, regulations, and safety protocols. Manage and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the boat. Communicate effectively with owner and crew members and other boaters. Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs on the boat and rigging of equipment as needed. Fill out log books daily. Safely navigate waterways of Kodiak Island Alaska. Provide accurate customer cargo counts on deliveries and pickups. Good organizational skills. Convey a sense of professionalism in both demeanor and appearance. Possess excellent customer service skills. *[OTHER QUALIFICATIONS [Must be able to assist in safety drills and vessel inspections.
