VF Corporation Manager, HR Partner (Malaysia) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Role & Responsibilities:

Position Definition (Key Purpose of the Position):

The Human Resources Partner is responsible for aligning the human resources practices to provide services and support achievement of One VF organization business objectives with the primary focus on designated VF brands, coalitions and supporting functions; partner with and between COE and People Services to deliver seamless human resources processes and programs including key aspects of employee advocacy, navigate all aspects of HR-related subjects and maintaining clear and precise communication cross-functionally to help keep everyone aligned to VF brands business goals and objectives.

How You Will Make a Difference

What you will do:

  • Thought partnership and key strategic partnership to business;

  • Work closely with HRBP and key stakeholders to support full spectrum of key HR processes and programs, onboarding, recruitment, total rewards, talent development, employee engagement, enabling talent growth and succession with KPI;

  • Participate and contribute in designated brands, coalitions and supporting functions to support management team meetings/forums to shape the business (growth aspirations, culture and organization etc.);

  • Deliver brand/coalition’s onboarding program and facilitate new leader assimilation;

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to build culture, morale and increase productivity and retention;

  • Provide support on day-to-day performance management including coaching, counseling, career development and disciplinary actions;

  • Partner with Talent Development to Identify learning needs and support, provide individual coaching needs;

  • Facilitate organization ongoing needs analysis activities and manage change;

  • Participate and contribute to key stakeholders’ review, identify and implement improvement of existing processes and systems to ensure appropriateness and scalability to build capabilities;

  • Help manage the key stakeholders’ compensation and budget that require review, changes to ensure alignment with financial objectives;

  • Partner with Total Rewards team to ensure competitive compensation and benefits programs exist that support organization’s need to attract, retain and motivate qualified candidates;

  • Facilitate employee communication activities e.g. Brand/Shared Services/Platform Town Hall meetings, HR Weekly Update etc.

  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of legal requirements to day-to-day management of associates, mitigating legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal team as needed/required;

  • Provide HR policy, practice guidance and interpretation;

  • Help maintain the integrity of all Human Resources practices and work closely with People Services to compile reports and analysis as required to support the HRBP and business decisions;

  • Perform and support employee engagement, cultural events and brands specific activities;

  • Promote and implement VOTE in brands and supporting functions, review results and reflect themes/facilitate discussion with stakeholders/ leadership;

  • Participate and contribute to talent review and conversation and ensure follow up with action plans;

  • Undertake HR projects and initiatives as required

  • Strong experience in supporting the client’s needs;

  • Demonstrate ability to deliver major initiatives and influence all levels;

  • Ability to be proactive support, provide alternatives and options to the key stakeholders and business;

  • Multi-tasking skills, well versed in communication, interpersonal, presentation and project management skills;

  • Hands-on, organized with a can-do working attitude.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field; Master’s degree preferred

  • 8 or more years of progressive experience with 3 or more years of managerial experience

  • Strong organization and communication skills
