The Corporate Accounting Project Manager provides corporate accounting expertise and project management for strategic and innovative initiatives for the corporate accounting business areas. This includes understanding the project scope, goals, priorities, and deliverables; providing leadership and direction to project teams, identifying and developing the project milestones/critical path; planning and organizing tasks, time, resources and people to ensure project deliverables are met, risks are mitigated, and projects achieve the desired outcome.

• responsible for managing projects to implement strategic and innovative initiatives in Corporate Accounting and related business areas.

• responsible for contributing technical expertise and providing on-going and ad hoc reporting for the support of implemented strategic initiatives and business projects.

• responsible for managing associates on the team.

Potential Annual Pay with Bonus:

Year End Bonus:

As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a field applicable to this position or equivalent experience

• three (3) years of management-level or leadership experience

• knowledge of accounting principles, general business practices and financial statements

• knowledge of Business Analysis

• knowledge of Internal Controls and SOX regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting/ Finance

• six (6) years of management level or leadership experience

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Project management Professional (PMP)

• knowledge of project management techniques and continuous quality improvement methodology

• knowledge of various business areas, their functions and subject matter experts

• knowledge of SAP/BI

• knowledge of Store Accounting System (SACT), store weekly P&Ls

• knowledge of various business areas, their functions and subject matter experts

• general overall knowledge of Publix Operations
