Robert Half Controller in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Description We are looking for a Controller to join our team in the service industry, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing operations, managing resources, and identifying financial impacts of business challenges. This role will play a vital part in assisting with new business segments, long-range planning, business plans, growth evaluation, and driving annual KPIs.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting activities including forecasts, financial analysis, cash management, budgeting, compliance audits, internal audits, tax, financial reporting, accounts payable, and payroll.

• Provide long-range financial and business planning.

• Evaluate new business opportunities and initiatives.

• Implement timely and regular reporting packages for management by directing monthly and annual financial closes.

• Ensure all accounting activity is accurately recorded according to generally accepted accounting principles.

• Prepare financial forecasts of company revenues and profitability.

• Manage the annual budget and forecasting planning process.

• Ensure all balance sheet account reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.

• Ensure all sales and use tax returns are filed accurately and timely.

• Maintain data integrity in fixed asset, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledgers systems.

• Ensure accuracy of payroll data.

• Use skills in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Budget Processes, Forecasting, Daily Cash Management, Prepare Financial Reports, Payroll, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Relevant certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.

• Experience in managing payroll processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
