Description

Logistics company in the Woodbridge area has immediate need to hire a Controller. This is a permanent and full time role and will act as the “right hand” to the CFO. The Controller should be a CPA and have 10+ years of experience in mid-sized companies. Prior experience supervising a small team is required.

Responsibilities:

• Manager General Accounting, AP, AR, Collections

• Supervise monthly close process.

• Generate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP

• Manage financial planning including Annual Budget, Quarterly Forecasts

• Manage external relationships: commercial banking, business insurance, CPA firm audit

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of DCAA

• Expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions

• Hands-on experience with Accounting Functions

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Auditing skills

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Relevant professional certifications are an advantage

• Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines in wholesale distribution of durable goods.
